Cloudy Bay Cabin - Bruny Island Walks & Lookouts

Walks:
Mavista Nature Walk
20 minutes return
An easy short rainforest walk. Travel south on the main road through Adventure Bay. Turn right at Lockleys Road. Travel for 2½km then turn right at Resolution Road to Discovery Park Picnic area and the start of the Nature Walk.
Grass Point
1 hour return
A flat track, suitable for all ages. The track commences at the end of Adventure Bay road. The walk begins along the beach and then follows the coastline to Grass Point. The walk continues to Fluted Cape (see Fluted Cape Walk).

Mt. Mangana
1½ hours return
This walk commences from Coolangatta Road, take a lefthand turn shortly after leaving Adventure Bay in the direction of the ferry. Mt. Mangana is the highest peak on Bruny Island (571m).
Fluted Cape
2½ hours return
An extension of the Grass Point and Penguin Island walks. From Grass Point, the track climbs steeply to the summit of Fluted Cape (272m), passing the very high sea cliffs. Not suitable for young children.
Cape Queen Elizabeth
3 hours return
Provides very good views across the Neck. Begins 18km from the ferry at a 4WD track leading off the Bruny Main Road.
East Cloudy Head
4 hours return
A short walk along the beach in front of the cabin takes you to the beginning of the track to East Cloudy Head.
Labillardiere Peninsula
5 hour circuit
Access is from Jetty Beach camping area, turn off from Lighthouse Road on the way to the Cape Bruny Lighthouse. .
Slide Track
3½ hours one way
This 10km track is for the experienced walker. It is better started from Lockleys Road as the track descends steeply to the old abandoned wooden tramway, used to transport logs to Adventure Bay. Be prepared for all types of conditions. Leaflet guide available at local outlets.
Walkers are advised to take proper precautions particularly on longer walks. Conditions can change quickly. Mobile phone coverage can be patchy and GPRS systems can lose range when on Bruny Island.
